These pieces are our economy class hand painted chessmen. They are more affordable than several of the alternatives. They are still hand painted, but they are not quite as detailed and the painting is not quite as sharp as the more expensive alternates, but are still great options for either a gift or as a display piece for any chess enthusiast.

Polystone is a compound made up of polyurethane resin mixed with powdered stone, which gives the chess pieces added weight and a porcelain or "stone-like" feel that is more durable than crushed stone, an expensive alternative. Additionally, polystone is slow to wear, making it ideal for collectors and casual players alike.
