16" Tournament Style Mahogany Folding Chess Set

Folding Chess Sets are ideal for beginners and long-time players alike. The included storage space is helpful if you do not plan to keep your set out on display, and also makes the chess set easily transportable for play with friends or while on vacation.

This chess set features individual slot storage and easy-to-read algebraic notation around the borders. The pieces are a traditional staunton design made from beechwood, and the board features a mahogany veneer.

I am 30. I played chess maybe a handful of times growing up. Out of no where I caught the bug and wanted a set. This is a great starter set for the beginner or first time buyer. The pieces and board are well constructed. It's a great starter set. If I get into this game, I will upgrade. If you are in the NYC tri-state area, definitely drive out to Long Island to check out their store. They have tons of pieces and boards - some real cool shit.
