I was initially concerned because the box the chess set was in was beat up a bit but after taking out the chess set & inspecting it noticing a tiny chip on the corner of the top half (I can live with it) I was satisfied. It is a beautiful set, just the right size.

The box is nice, if not a bit small, but the real issue is the pewter pieces. The pieces are a bit lighter than I would like and the felt bottoms are not adhered to the pieces very well. I expected a lot more value for the money. I guess $80.00 doesn't really go very far these days. I'm returning it for another set, but haven't determined which one yet. To be continued.
