We recommend you roll it up with the squares facing out in order to prevent it from curling up on the board. Chess bags are available can that further protect and store your chess board.

Had the 2005 Star Wars Special chess set, but no board. Hoped it would get graddaughter intested in chess. Regualar size boards too small. Larger ones, heavey and expensive: for pros. [Only problem is USPS redirected it to another city, then to Dallas, before getting back locally. looked like the well wrapped package was through a taffey machine. No damage to board, but some print bleeded through - most wiped off. Wish they still made carbon tetrachoride available (toxic.)]
