I bought this for my 11 year-old grandson. It is perfect. I got the medium size - it is big enough to handle the pieces on the board but small enough for him to easily carry around. The quality of the board, case, and pieces are great. The magnet holds the pieces even when the board is held upside-down.

Nice quality. Feels like a smaller version of a serious board, instead of a "travel board." I love that it zips right up and stores away. This one is a perfect size for starting a solo game online or with an app and set aside, out of the way when you take a break. Magnets are strong - But don't shake the game in progress to amaze your friends; they aren't THAT strong 🙂. When looking to purchase one, realize that the board size includes a relatively large border, so the squares/pieces may be a bit smaller than you see in your mind's eye when looking at the physical board measurement. I thought the pieces would be a bit bigger (even though the sizes are listed - it's just how I interpreted the board measurement). Even so, A very nice quality board that replaces an older set I picked up 20 years ago. I'm confident this one will serve me just as well!

Everything I wanted it to be. Pieces are good quality, board is beautiful and magnetic aspect is effective. A strong shake will obviously dislodge the pieces but the board can be passed around with the pieces staying in place very well. 1 piece had a little too much adhesive on the bottom to stick right, but a small amount of goo-gone and some scrubbing fixed it fine 👌
