I wanted something a little smaller to practice with and leave out at home. The silicone boards are superior and I would have purchase the 17in in silicone if it was available. The only two complaints with this particular board it was shipped with two weighted plastic chess sets and there are some creases that I haven't been able to get out. Either the plastic bags the chess sets were mailed in or something else was against the board and it transferred printed ink characters and smears along the border of A1 and A2 and within A2 itself and I haven't been able to get the ink off. Again, it is an inexpensive board so it really isn't much of a fuss. If I see one in a store or a silicone version, I'll likely replace it.

This vinyl roll up chess board is exactly what my son needed for chess camp. The quality of the board is excellent and it is easy to roll up. It is properly labeled with the letters and numbers to identify the spaces on the board.
